Privacy Policy

What we collect

TempEmail does not require registration and does not collect personal information. When you use the service, the following is temporarily stored:

• The randomly generated email address assigned to your session
• Emails received at that address during the active session
• A session identifier (GUID) stored in your browser's localStorage and URL

All of this data is automatically deleted after 14 days. Nothing is kept beyond that window.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for general usage tracking — page views, session counts, and basic interaction patterns. This data is used only to understand how the service is being used in aggregate. No email content is ever sent to these tools. Both services may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out via your browser settings or a standard ad blocker.

Email content

Each email received at your temporary address is stored for 14 days from when it arrives. We do not read, analyse, sell, or share email content. After that, emails are permanently deleted.

Cookies and local storage

We store your session GUID in localStorage so you can return to the same inbox, or bookmark its URL, for as long as it is active (up to 14 days). No tracking cookies are set by TempEmail itself. Third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) may set their own cookies.

Third parties

Email is received and processed via secure cloud email routing services. Our service infrastructure is hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud servers. Third-party infrastructure providers do not have access to email content beyond what is necessary to route and temporarily store it during the active session.

Browser extension

Our browser extension uses the same backend and the same 14-day data lifecycle described above. The session identifier and your notification preference are stored locally in the browser, via the extension storage API. The extension does not track your browsing or read page content.

Your rights

Because no account is created and all data expires automatically, there is nothing to request deletion of after the session ends. If you have questions about data handling, contact us at the address below.
