Acceptable Use Policy

A genuine tool, not a fraud tool

TempEmail is a genuine service built for developers, QA testers and people who want to protect their privacy. We do not support or encourage fraud of any kind, and we actively stop misuse of the service.

What TempEmail is for

• Testing sign-up, verification, OTP, password-reset and other emails sent by your own apps
• QA and end-to-end testing with many test users
• Keeping your real email address away from spam, newsletters and untrusted websites
• One-time sign-ups, downloads and free trials you are genuinely entitled to

Banned uses

You must not use TempEmail for any of the following:

• Fraud and scams: phishing, identity theft, payment or card fraud, money laundering, or deceiving anyone
• Account farming: creating fake or bulk accounts on other websites, for example to collect free credits, trials, bonuses, referral rewards or promotions more than once
• Getting around bans or limits: making new accounts after being banned or suspended, or to bypass usage limits on other services
• Fake engagement: fake followers, views, likes, votes or reviews
• Spam: sending bulk or unwanted messages, or signing other people up to things without their consent
• Gambling abuse: claiming betting or casino bonuses more than once, or other gambling fraud
• Impersonation: pretending to be another person or organisation
• Harassment: threatening, stalking or abusing anyone
• Illegal activity: anything illegal, including content that sexually exploits children
• Attacking TempEmail: bots or scripts that create inboxes automatically, scraping, overloading the service, or trying to get around our limits and security

How we stop misuse

• We block senders and domains that are linked to abuse.
• We limit how many inboxes can be created from one network, and how many emails one inbox can receive.
• We limit how often our service can be used from one network, and reject oversized emails.
• We may block networks, IP addresses and anonymising services that are used for abuse.
• All inboxes and emails are deleted automatically after a limited time.

Services we block

Some services give free credits, trials or bonuses to every new account, so they attract account farming. We do not deliver email from them. This includes most AI chat, AI image, AI video and AI voice services, for example OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Leonardo and HeyGen. We also block senders linked to spam or email floods.

If you need one of these services, sign up with your real email address. We review and update this list regularly.

What happens if you break this policy

We may block your access, delete your inboxes and emails, and block the networks you use, without notice. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with authorities.

Report misuse

If you run a website and believe a TempEmail address was used to abuse it, email [email protected] with the address and what happened. We review every report.
