About TempEmail

TempEmail gives you a real email inbox in one click, made for testing the emails your own software sends. Open the page and you have a fresh address at snapmailnow.com, ready to receive mail. No account, no password, nothing to install.

We built it for the people who check that emails actually work: developers, QA and test engineers, and data teams. Sign-up confirmations, one-time codes, password resets, invitations, receipts. These emails are part of the product, and they break more often than anyone expects.

Who uses it, and for what

  • QA and test engineers walk through a sign-up or checkout as a brand-new user, read every email the app sends, and click every link before a release.
  • Developers check a new email template on staging, confirm that a verification link points to the right server, and see how the HTML really looks in an inbox.
  • Teams testing several users at once open one browser tab per test user. Each tab is its own inbox, so invites, roles and approvals are easy to follow.
  • Data and analytics teams create a clean test sign-up to confirm that the right events reach their pipeline.

For large automated test suites that send hundreds of emails per run, a local mail catcher is the better fit, and a real inbox like this one is where you confirm real delivery before you ship. Our email testing guides show both, with examples for Playwright, Cypress and Selenium.

How it works

When you open the page, we create a random address and a private link to its inbox. Emails sent to that address appear on screen within seconds, with no refresh needed. HTML emails are shown the way your users would see them.

Bookmark the page or keep the link to come back to the same inbox. Anyone with the link can read it, so please use it for testing, not for accounts you care about.

The inbox only receives email. It can't send, and attachments are not stored.

What we keep, and for how long

Each inbox is deleted 7 days after it is created, and each email 7 days after it arrives. A cleanup job runs every hour. For each email we keep what is needed to show it: the sender, the subject, and the text and HTML of the message. To prevent abuse, we also record the IP address that created an inbox, and it is deleted along with the inbox. There are no accounts, so we never ask for your name or phone number. The privacy policy has the details.

A small request

TempEmail is free for everyone, and we'd love to keep it that way. Please use it for testing and other honest purposes, not for fraud, spam or getting around another service's rules. A few automatic fair-use protections help keep it fast for everyone. The acceptable use policy explains more. Thank you!
