# TempEmail > TempEmail (https://temp-email.ai) is a free temporary (disposable) email address service built for software testing and privacy. Open the page and you instantly get a real, working inbox — no sign-up, no registration, no password, and no personal information. Emails arrive in real time, and the address plus everything in it is permanently deleted after one hour. It is used most heavily by technical teams — developers, QA / test engineers, and data / analytics teams — to test the emails their own applications send. Developers and QA teams use TempEmail to test the transactional email their applications send — sign-up confirmations, email verification, one-time passcodes (OTP), password resets, and notifications — against a real, live inbox instead of cluttering a personal account. Because every new browser tab generates a fresh, unique address, one person can simulate many different users (user A, user B, an admin, an invitee) without creating throwaway accounts — which is exactly what QA needs when testing multi-user sign-up, invite, and role flows. Data and analytics teams use it the same way to verify that a sign-up actually fires the right tracking/analytics event and feeds the data pipeline correctly, and to generate disposable test accounts for a data platform. It's just as useful for anyone who wants to sign up somewhere without handing over their real address: avoiding spam and marketing, one-time trials and downloads, or keeping an inbox private on a shared computer. TempEmail is receive-only — you can read messages sent to the address but cannot send from it. ## How it works - Visit https://temp-email.ai and a unique random address is generated automatically — nothing to fill in. - Copy the address (there's a copy button and a QR code) and paste it wherever an email is required. - Incoming email appears in the inbox instantly over a live connection — no refresh button, no polling. - HTML emails render fully; you can open verification and confirmation links and read OTP codes. - The address and all messages are permanently deleted one hour after the inbox is created. Nothing is archived, read, or sold. - The session is kept in the page URL and browser local storage, so bookmarking lets you return to the same inbox within the hour. - Open a new browser tab to get a second, completely independent inbox — the simplest way to represent another test user. - Works on any device and browser, including mobile. ## Good to know - Free with no limits, no plans, and no account — ever. - Receive-only: TempEmail cannot send email. - No password protects an inbox; addresses are random and long enough not to be guessed, but the service is not meant for anything sensitive like banking or private messages. - Attachments are not stored — only email text and HTML content, and only during the active one-hour session. - Some services block known disposable-email domains and may reject a temporary address; that is the sender's choice. - Available in 18 languages: English, German, Dutch, French, Swedish, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Indonesian, and Vietnamese (e.g. https://temp-email.ai/de/, /fr/, /es/, /ja/). ## Who uses TempEmail - **Developers** — testing the sign-up, verification, OTP, password-reset, activation, and notification emails their own apps send (for example an eSIM activation or account-registration flow), against a real live inbox that behaves like production. - **QA and test engineers** — simulating many distinct users at once (open one inbox per browser tab) to test multi-user sign-up, invites, roles, and edge cases without real personal accounts. - **Data and analytics teams** — confirming a sign-up fires the correct tracking event and lands in the data pipeline, and creating disposable test accounts for a data platform. - **Anyone protecting a real inbox** — stopping spam and marketing from one-time registrations, trials, downloads, and public/shared computers. ## Common uses - Testing transactional email (sign-up, email verification, OTP, password reset) against a real, live inbox instead of a personal account. - Simulating many different test users at once by opening a separate inbox in each browser tab. - Verifying analytics/tracking events fire on sign-up and reach the data pipeline (data/analytics QA). - Trying a product as a brand-new user to see the real onboarding and welcome emails — e.g. testing an eSIM activation flow, a telecom prepaid/postpaid sign-up, or a SaaS or e-commerce registration. - Stopping spam before it reaches your real inbox. - Short-term or one-time registrations (trials, downloads, webinars, workshops). - Keeping your real address private on public or shared computers. ## Main pages -
